Google Goggles Now More Personal & More Business

Today Google announced an update for Google Goggles for Android, the app that allows you to point your device's camera at anything and let Google figure out the answer. Goggles version 1.4 introduces an enhanced search history and better business card scanning. There are other apps that scan business cards and add them to your address book, but now it's built right into Goggles, which makes this app infinitely more useful in a business environment.
The enhanced search history keeps track of your past searches, add your own personal notes to them, and share results with your friend. Google's blog goes through an example at dinner where you would take a picture of the bottle of wine you liked and write a helpful note that would allow you to remember why you liked it. Google also allows you to suggest a better result if the one they provide isn't too accurate, another way Google is crowdsourcing their results.

Goggles is now also much better at recognizing business cards when you snap a picture, reading that data, and automatically entering the information into a contact card. This is actually a very useful feature. I hate boring old business cards, and now when I really want to remember someone's information, I can just scan it, and toss the card before I even leave an event.
You can download Google Goggles from the Android Market.
