We Are All Androids (Or We Can Be Now.)

Google just launched a Wii-esque avatar creator for Android devices called Androidify. It may not be revolutionary, but it's still a creative way to spread the Android love. You can dress your little green (you can change the robot's colour if you'd like) Android in a variety of clothing options and style it with hairstyles, accessories, shoes and even Michael Jackson's glove.
Google's included the option to share your newly created robots with Facebook, Twitter, Buzz, Picasa, and anything else you can connect to your phone. They have even allowed one click contact photo replacement.
Here is Google's explanation:
Androidify, available free from Android Market, lets you take the little green Android, and turn it into yourself, your friends, your family, anyone! Stretch it, shrink it, add a hoody, style its hair, throw on some shades, or even give it a parrot and a pirate hat. Arrrgh!
Once you’ve made your personalized Android, you can share it with your friends, set it as a photo in your contact book, or use it in some inventive way we haven’t thought of yet. Have fun, and we can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Besides the playfulness of it, clearly Google and the Android platform will benefit from the viral spread of these photos across the internet. It's the kind of simple marketing that just works. Before it gets memed-to-death, have some fun with it.
