Google Docs mobile site, now with sharing

Google Docs on Mobile Sites - Sharing

Google has been updating many of their web properties on desktop and mobile, and today rolled out an update to the mobile version of Google Docs.  It now has the app-like feel of other Google services and has added the ability to sort your documents to find what you need. Most importantly, you can share one or more documents easily via email.

The new look will work well on Android and iOS browsers and sports the same buttons the mobile Gmail website incorporated.  It's much more touch friendly and finally makes it possible to customize how you sort your documents.  This is incredibly handy when you have hundreds of documents and aren't looking for the most recent ones.  You can also narrow your results with subsets and, this being a Google product, search is only a button away.

In the new snazzy interface, you can select multiple documents and, using the new share button, send the documents in a few different ways.  You can send private documents to others via a link, so they can view them online and collaborate in Google Docs, or you can attach them to an email.

It's great to see all of the core Google products getting a refresh and if you don't have the Docs app for Android, having a functional mobile site is very handy.

Just head over to docs.google.com from your mobile phone to try it out.
