Instagram update brings new camera UI with live filters, high-res image support, and more

Instagram is by far one of our favorite photo manipulation/sharing apps on the iPhone. While the experience of applying one the app's many vintage or moody filters has always been a cinch, it's even more enjoyable with the many enhancements included in version 2.0.
Most notably, included in what is one of the "largest revamps" the app has seen since launch, the camera UI has changed to accommodate new "live filters." Whereas you used to be able to apply filters only after snapping your photo, the filters themselves have been rewritten to be "200x faster" and now available to be applied live, in real-time within the camera app itself.
The update also brings support for 1936x1936 resolution on iPhone 4 (for photos saved to your camera roll, not those uploaded to Instagram). Other notable features include "One-click rotation" for changing an image's orientation, instant selective blurring with “instant tilt-shift,” and the ability to “Pinch, pan and rotate tilt-shift” images within the camera app with a live preview.
As part of the update, Instagram has launched four new filters created in partnership with Instagrammer @colerise. You can check out the new filters in the image below and swing by the App Store to grab the update now (iTunes link). They've also posted this guide showing how the new features work within the new UI.
