This application is based on the ISAF Counter-IED Smart Book. Basic IED Awareness is intended to raise the level of IED awareness for anyone deployed, or about to be deployed to Afghanistan. ForceReadiness.com provides this free application with the hope that by helping raise the level of IED awareness, it helps someone return home safely. It is not a replacement for any Military Training, Military Directives, or Military SOP.
