The 24,000 English headwords in this Dictionary provide a vocabulary sufficient for the needs of beginners and intermediate students. The words selected are the up-to-date contexts of educated native speakers of the language.

When a word has more than one meaning, each meaning is separately translated as a sub-entry. In most cases, each meaning has one or more example sentences or phrases in simple English to provide a linguistic and situational context.
