Serial Splitter Mobile is software for splitting real serial ports into virtual ones. It is really useful if you need several applications to work with the same serial port on your mobile device (like several applications to read from one GPS device). As a fact, one program works with one virtual port, the other one with another port and so on, but in fact all of them work with the same split real port. Serial Splitter CE can create up to 20 virtual ports for splitting real ports - COM0-COM9, VSP0-VSP9. Moreover, all of the ports are equal! You can specify the status for every created port - read-only or read-and-write. In case of read-only ports you won't be able to write anything to the port, only data retrieval is possible. Read-only mode can be useful, for example, just to read the data and keep a log the real port activity. With Serial Splitter CE you can connect one application to the other, split real ports into virtual ones. As a result, applications can exchange data. Such solutions can be useful for GPS simulation systems.
