Finally you are able to benefit of all the advantages of any Mac application or website which uses Barcodes without the need of buying expensive hardware add-ons. Simply call iCody on your iPhone, scan the Barcode and thats it!* The deciphered Barcode is transmitted automatically into the text field of the Mac application or Website the cursor is currently in.* So iCody behaves exactly the same way an expensive hardware barcode scanner does!
And even if you yet want to buy expensive hardware, buying the great Linea Pro (http://www.ipclineapro.com), combined with the In-App-purchasable support of the Linea Pro for iCody, you can transform a highly professional Barcode scanner out of your iPod touch.
The new callback functionality lets iCody interact with other applications and even websites using the icody: URL scheme.
With the built-in camera, the scan area can be cropped to enhance scanning results even if several Barcodes are placed directly together. Using the LED torch you can scan even under badly lightened circumstances.
iCody works also when offline (in case no WiFi connection is established). The deciphered Barcodes are saved in a Barcode list and can be transmitted afterwards. This function is best practice for doing batch recognitions of a big number of Barcodes: Scan all barcodes anywhere and anytime and send them to the Mac whenever you want by reconnecting to this Mac by WiFi.
Or export them via iTunes or send them by eMail - one, some or all ...!
Full iPhone 4 support:

IMPORTANT NOTES:
iCody needs the autofocus capabilities of the iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4 and works very limited on the iPod touch 4G. The scanning results on this device can be improved by using an optionally available optical lens (macro lens).
* Needs an established WiFi connection of both iPhone and stationary Mac. Needs the free additional application Thetis running on the Mac which can be downloaded at http://www.appthology.net/. Needs Mac OS X 10.6 or higher.
