Learning Cantonese is easy if you start by learning the tones with audio samples and then perform memory drills. CantoCat delivers this by providing audio samples plus a memory drill function with over 1600 commonly used searchable words and phrases. You have more than enough to get you started!

For the more serious student there are extra features. First, grammar tips are provided. Second, optionally you may transfer the CantoCat database to a computer via a Wi-Fi connection. Not only can you copy and paste Chinese words into emails and text messages directly to your phone, but you can export the entire Cantonese-English dictionary to your computer (in sqlite format) for custom editing. If you want you may make custom dictionaries on your computer and copy them back to your phone as mini-memory drills. This way you can memorize the types of words that you personally tend to use in real life.
