That seems to be an application storage error. Netflix apparently will not work if you're in Private Browsing / Incognito / whatever else you want to call it mode. DRM requires that they be able to track which computers are accessing which content.

Try dialing down your security and privacy preferences temporarily. If that works, selectively start building them back up and testing Netflix to see if it's affected. It's going to require some trial and error I'm afraid.

I uninstalled silverlight, logged into Netflix & selected play on an instant movie without reinstalling silverlight. I allowed Netflix to link to the "install silverlight" where I installed, refreshed the Netflix window; I was then able to watch instantly. By the way, I'm using Win XP SP3

-If everything is up to date and you keep getting Error N8007. The problem is not Silverlight, it's your browser settings. Just follow the steps below. I tested it repeatedly turning it on and off and the error came and went, came and went. I got netflix to finally work after a few hours of running updates, turning firewall settings off and on... Win7 service pack 1 put me to sleep 'till I awoke, and started up again... Error N8007 persisted! I am currently using Mozilla's Firefox 3.6.13. and I keep my setting to Never Remember History (@ the top of the browser click on Tools then click Options then click Privacy). So I tinkered with those settings to: 'Use Custom Settings for History': UNCHECK- Automatically Start firefox in private browser session. I now have everything below that with checks filled in including Clear History When Firefox Closes. -I think I can live with those settings. Finally Netflix is working! Good luck! -Nasdasdy
