Glad you've found the tutorials useful up to this

Sounds like either your MacBook recognizing the NOOK that's plugged in via USB or ADB (Android Debug Bridge) isn't installed. Let's start with the most simple solution first; please don't take offence; you're sure it's plugged in via USB and booted into Honeycomb, right? If so:

Ensure that you have an item called "adb" in your platform-tools folder. Ensure that Vending.apk and GoogleServicesFramework.apk are in the same directory as the adb item (platform-tools).

If you don't have the adb item, try updating the platform-tools item in the Android SDK.

It took quite a bit of trial and error; the video you're watching was the result of several hours of messing around and several frustrating moments. Keep at it.

having the same problem, any work around? error- MacBook-Pro:platform-tools WVB$ ./adb shell mount -o remount,rw /dev/block/mmcblk1p2 /system error: device not found
sorry for the multi-posts - chrome kept giving me an error after submitting...!
Same exact problem - is it even possible for Macs to recognize these devices with Honeycomb installs after one of these errors? I am not on the latest MacOS (only 10.5.8) - could that be the problem? It would be great if someone could contribute their workaround if one has been found in the last nine months... Thanks! Noob.

I too am having the same issue as the question above. I do indeed have adb in my platform-tools folder as well as Vending.apk and GoogleServicesFramework.apk in the same folder (platform-tools) and am receiving the error- MacBook-Pro:platform-tools WVB$ ./adb shell mount -o remount,rw /dev/block/mmcblk1p2 /system error: device not found
