I found the solution on the PC for getting the Nook Color recognized. Follow the regular instructions but before running HoneyGAppInstall.cmd download this file; found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=882751 unzip it and go to your device manager. You should see a device error for the Nook, right click it and choose UPDATE, refer the update directory to the decompressed files. The nook will be recognized properly and then run the HoneyGAppInstall.cmd to finish the install.
This assumes that you already have your nook flash card working in Android and the USB cable is connected to the computer.
Took me half a day on three computers before finding a solution.
Good Luck, its worth the effort. Only one caveat when loading the Barns and Noble Nook reader. It only lets you view your library of books not any magazine subscriptions that you may have. So to view your magazines you have to remove the SD card and reboot back into the B.N. Operating system.
