Problem getting into the android marketplace on a rooted Nook Color...

Additional Details:

I have a Nook Color, which I was able to root and get Honeycomb on to a microSD card. I was also able to get the apps pushed onto the NC via HoneyGApps. My issue is that although the android marketplace app is on the NC now, I can not get past the point where it must sign in through gmail. I can access the internet via wifi on the browser, but keep getting a connectivity error message when trying to get into the android marketplace. Any ideas? Thanks
