Can tow wireless routers be made to communicate with each other? I have a Netgear N300 Wireless ADSL2+ Modem Router as my internet connection. I have a D-Link Wireless N 150 Home Router that I want to use to hook up my Blu-Ray player to the internet.

You will need a router that supports wireless bridging. The site Small Net Builder may prove useful and helpful.

Great question! Yes, two routers can be made to communicate with each other. Personally, I have one router downstairs and then another router on the main floor that is set up as a wireless bridge and repeater. That said, the process is not simple. It requires flashing (definition) new firmware (definition) onto the router you want to be a repeater / bridge. This is not condoned by manufacturers. While the process is outlined step-by-step on some sites, you do run the risk of "bricking" your device; rendering it useless. We recommend DD-WRT firmware. See the DD-WRT list of supported routers to find out if your devices are eligible and which version of the firmware you can run. From there, very carefully and completely follow the DD-WRT installation instructions. Don't skip any steps and read and understand the whole process before you begin. Note that only one of your routers needs to run the DD-WRT firmware: the device that's going to act as a repeater bridge. If you like DD-WRT as much as I do, consider Was this answer helpful?
