WebOS
- Interface is heavily gesture based.
- Capacitive touchscreen.
- In "card view," applications are live as opposed to just a snapshot of the program's last state.
- Quicklaunch bar holds icons for several of the most commonly used applications.
- Pulling a finger up from the gesture bar onto the screen brings up a launcher ribbon that allows for quick launching of favorite applications.
- Swiping on the gesture bar allows for forward and backward navigation.
- Notification area alerts you to important updates on email, phone, calendars etc.
- On the home screen, start typing to bring up the "universal search."
- "Synergy" makes it easy to pull contacts from various web services to pull in your online contacts.
- Also pulls calendar notifications from linked online services.
- "Synergy" appears in messaging too: in the messaging app it's easy to switch between email, SMS, MMS and IM and all messages are kept in one place, regardless of which messaging service they were sent through.
- WebKit browser does an excellent job.
