The Nintendo DS has gone through several iterations since the original which was announced at E3 in 2004. Since its release, it's been improved and altered. New colors, brighter screen, longer battery life, an improved aesthetic (the first, cool though it was, was a little fugly) and so on. The latest version, the Nintendo DSi XL keeps the new features from the DSi including the camera and SD card slot and supersizes the screens.
