BlackBerry Torch 9800 Smartphone
$200 with a 2-year contract
- For BlackBerry devotees, the BlackBerry Torch 9800 is a quantum leap forward.
- For iPhone and high-end Android handset devotees, it's a step back.
BlackBerry devotees:
- The sliding keyboard offers the tactile feel and super fast typing speeds that BlackBerry addicts crave.
- BlackBerry 6 OS feels like a mix between Android and iPhone OSs.
- BlackBerry 6 OS is well at home on the Torch and feels like it was made for touchscreens. Compare this with the misstep that was the Storm smartphone.
- WebKit browser makes for a much improved browsing experience.
Other smartphone devotees:
- 480x360 capacitive display lags behind the competition.
- 512MB RAM is sufficient but not earth shattering.
- Slow clock speed at 624MHz is underwhelming and feels sluggish at times.

- Integrated social media feeds works feature works well.
