- Web browser: an application that allows users to display pages from the World Wide Web or your local area network.

- ActiveX: is a active object language that was created by Microsoft.

- Drive-by download: any download that occurs without the user's knowledge.

- Microsoft Internet Explorer 7: developed by Microsoft and is available as a free download at http://www.microsoft.com/ie. Also, in Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 Windows Vista edition only, Microsoft developed a new security technology called "Protected-Mode". "Protected-Mode" will sometimes stop the ActiveX language too.
