Domain name: The web address that points to your site i.e. butterscotch.com, tucows.com, yoursitename.com.
Domain registrar: The company that allows you to choose and register a domain name. Hover, GoDaddy, and DomainDiscover are examples of domain registrars.
- DNS: Domain Name Service or Domain Name Server or Domain Name System.
- Web hosting: A company that stores your web site so it's accessible on the Internet. Examples include Verio, PowWeb, GoDaddy, to name a few.
