Dell Wasabi PZ310 ZINK printer

After you've snapped a pic with yout camera phone, what do you do with it. If you're like a lot of us, not much. Dell is looking to change that with its

Wasabi PZ310

. This little

Bluetooth printer

seems custom made for mobile phones, though it can also connect directly to most modern digital cameras. There's no ink to worry about and prints take about 30 seconds to emerge, leaving you with a 2x3, wallet-sized print that has a sticker back for scrapbooking or sticking in a locker.

- Works with most Bluetooth-enabled phones, but notably, not the iPhone.

- Uses Bluetooth wireless connection or PictBridge USB connection direct to a PictBridge-enabled digital camera.

- PictBridge is an industry standard, available on the vast majority of consumer level digital cameras, that allows the camera to print directly to a PictBridge printer. More detail in the PictBridge entry on Wikipedia.

- Prints wallet-size prints (2x3 in) in about 30sec.

- ZINK (Zero Ink) means that as soon as the print is out of the Wasabi, it's ready to go. There are no ink cartridges to replace.

- Prints are also stickers, perfect for lockers, notebooks, scrapbooking etc.

- Available in pink, blue and black.

- Very simple to operate.

- Has a one-touch reprint button.

- Charger is about the same size as the device itself, which is awkward.

- Paper costs US$20 - CAN$25 for 48 adhesive backed sheets. The Wasabi can hold up to 12 sheets.
