great free Mac applications

available though and Doc runs down his top five list of the must-haves.

Adium

- Adium is equivalent to Pidgin on the PC.

- It allows you to connect to a wide range of instant messaging services all from one interface.

- Among the services you can use are ICQ, Google Talk, Yahoo Messenger, Windows Live Messenger and many more.

- Adium lets you connect to your "buddies" on all these networks and talk with them in real time.

OpenOffice.org

- OpenOffice.org is a full-featured office suite.

- You get word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation.

- You also get drawing and more.

- OpenOffice.org is fully compatible with all your Microsoft Office documents.

VLC

- If you aren't a big fan of iTunes, you'll be wondering what else you can use. One answer is VLC.

- VLC can play all of your audio and video.

- You can manage your entire audio and video libraries.

- VLC lets you create playlists and more.

Carbon Copy Cloner

- Carbon Copy Cloner does a bit-by-bit image of your Mac.

- It's fast, efficient and it's also free.

- Carbon Copy Cloner offers a full range of features.

- You can pick the disk you want to back up and choose the disk where the backup will be stored.

- Carbon Copy Cloner is easy to use and intuitive.

QuickSilver

- QuickSilver is a powerful program that has many, many uses.

- You can also use it to launch programs, navigate on your Mac, move files, copy files and more.

- You can send email right from QuickSilver without ever opening an email program.

- QuickSilver puts a lot of power right at your fingertips.

YES! Now this is what I'm talkin about. More stuff on the Mac, Doc. To be honest I'm a Mac and a PC, and I love the Windows content, but this Mac segment rocks! I think you need to do a tad more on the Mac side. Great show, give us more! LacyLinda
