Full disclosure: we've always liked Fujifilm digicams. The latest in Fuji's top-end point and shoot line (the F line) is the F550EXR, and it continues the legacy offering great range in a variety of shooting situations, full HD recording (albeit only for 11 minutes), Fujifilm's own Velvia (vivid) Astia (soft) plus B&W and sepia film simulation modes that offer extra flexibility. If you're looking for a higher-end point and shoot as the family's primary camera and you're not looking to step up the ladder to an dSLR, this camera is a good choice. The EXR feature which takes all the guess work out of getting the best shot in a variety of shooting conditions, is a real selling point.
