Previously, Lucas pimped out his Windows 7 login screen with a custom image. Now, he's back in the login screen to get rid of the Windows 7 branding and the accessibility button so your custom image really shines.

Show Notes

Resource Hacker

- In Rersource Hacker, click Open and navigate to C:\Windows\system32\authui.dll
.
- Click on View and click Find Text.

- Search for (Branding) under the Find Text window.

- Insert the line layoutpos="none"/> after the line
- Click on Compile Script.

- Click on View and click Find Text. Enter the search string (Accessibility) and click Find Next.

- Change layoutpos="left"/> to read layout="none"/>.

- Click on Compile Script.

- Save the file with the name authui.dll.

- Click on Start and navigate to C:\Windows\system32\authui.dll.

- Drag your new authui.dll and select Move, but keep both files.

- Rename authui.dll to authuiBU.dll or authuiBackUp.dll.

- Rename authui(2).dll to authui.dll.
