The HTC Flyer is HTC's first real attempt at an Android tab. It's priced at about $500 and shows HTC's classic attention to build quality and its HTC Sense Android skin. If you're in the market for a plus-sized HTC phone without the ability to make phone calls, you're in luck. If you're looking for the latest in Android tablet tech though, move along.

HTC Flyer
$499 - Promo bundled with Magic Pen ($80)
The HTC Flyer is a 7-inch Android tablet. However, rather than running the latest version of Android's Honeycomb tablet OS, HTC has opted to blow up its 2.3 Android offering, skinned with Sense.
At $500, it's a tough purchase to justify. However, the addition of an RF pen for note taking, signing and document mark-up might be worth the HTC Scribe premium for someone that specifically needs or wants said pen.
HTC Flyer specs
1.5GHz processor
Android 2.3 with HTC Sense
1GB RAM
16GB internal memory
802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi
Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP
1.3MP front camera
5MP rear camera
