Your personal homepage on Twitter has a pretty simple layout. However, there's a lot more to this service than meets the eye. We'll help you crack the layout by examining the unique features of the layout by learning how to navigate through the different options.

- The layout of every tweeter's page is roughly the same. We'll take you through a few key features of the homepage.
- @Replies: Shows tweets that were directed at you: i.e. when someone in your list says @yourusername. More on how this works in episode six of this series.
- Direct Messages: This section stores all of your private messages.
- Send a private (direct) tweet by choosing the contact you want to message from the pull-down menu and typing out your message.
- Click on the Sent tab to see messages you've sent.
Favorites: Here, you'll find tweets you've marked with a star in the regular Twitter feed.
- Starring or unstarring a tweet will add or remove it from your Favorites list.
Everyone: This is the roll of everyone around the world whose profile is public and who has recently posted a public tweet.
- In the right-hand panel, you can easily turn updates on your mobile phone on or off using the radio buttons.
- Clicking on the trashcan icon beside a tweet deletes it but only removes said tweet from your profile.
