Show Notes

- NAT = Network Adress Translation. It can function as a hardware firewall. A NAT router can be compared to a switchboard operator. Some examples of routers are the Belkin N1 Vision, Linksys Ultra RangePlus, Apple Extreme Base Station, and D-Link.

- IP = Internet Protocol address. This numeric address uniquely identifies every device connected to the router. A "reserved" address will never be used on the Internet itself, just be your router.

- DHCP = Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol.
