- Foursquare is a location based service (LBS) that connects users with businesses and vice-versa.
- When you check into a location, you'll see which of your friends have been to the same location. You may get user recommendations too.
- Earn badges by completing different tasks.
- Sometimes you'll get deals and coupons offered based on your location, wherein lies the business case.
- Check in to a place more than anyone else and you become the Mayor of that location.
- Businesses are encouraged to offer deals and special offers to Mayors.
