Check out the Android Market to see some of the sweet and

free Android apps

for the smartphone OS.

- Android Market is pre-installed on Android smartphones.

- Click on the Android Market icon to launch the Market.

- Scroll left and right to view featured applications. Scroll up and down to browse app categories.

- Click on an application category to view available apps.

- Click on an app to view details and click on the Install button to grab the app.

- Because Android is an open development platform, you'll need to make sure the apps you install are trustworthy. Android Market will tell you what kind of access to your phone an app is requesting so you can determine if that's acceptable.
