Show Notes

- How to Video Podcast:

    1) Camera(s): make sure that the camera supports wireless microphones.
    2) Microphone(s): wireless if possible.
    3) Light(s) and Umbrella(s): you want tungsten lights.
    4) Editing software: Final Cut or Premiere.

- Our 3 camera shoot:
    1) Sony FX1: our main camera that captures both Andy and Sean.

    2) Sony A1U: our second camera that captures only Andy.

    3) Sony A1U: our third camera that captures only Sean.

- Sean uses Final Cut to cut together and produce the production file that you are watching.
- Firewire is the Apple name. Sony calls it iLink. Generically it's IEEE 1394.
- Our pal Amber MacArthur started CommandN.Tv with an iSight camera on her iBook.

- The Sony A1U's actually use CMOS sensors, which have great colour but poor performance in low light.
- Some microphones use 1/8" audio jacks, some use a three-pin XLR jack.

- Catch G4TechTV's television show Torrent.
- HDTV formats are 720p, 1080i, and the high-end 1080p.
