- Firmware: is the programming that runs a device.

- WiFi: wireless internet access capable.

- Safari: Apple's own web browser.

- "brick": is geek slang for a non-functioning device.

- Firmware Upgrade: removes the current operating system from the flash memory and replaces it with a new version.

- Accelerometers: the sensor that allows the movement of the iPod Touch in applications.

- Jail Break: the upgraded firmware that can be used to hack your Apple iPod Touch.
