Kodak Pulse 7-inch photo frame video review

Monday October 18, 2010
Consider the Kodak Pulse 7-inch digital photo frame the gift that keeps on giving. For parents and grandparents not exactly inclined toward social media, Flickr et. al., the Pulse keeps them in the loop with the latest pics of the grandkids. It has its own email address and you can send new pictures at any time. And unlike getting Grandma a Facebook account and friending her, you don't have to worry about her seeing the wrong pics or discovering that her grandson/granddaughter is not the cherubic angel she believed him/her to be.

Kodak Pulse 7-inch digital photo frame
$130

- 7-inch 800x600px display. LED backlit.

- After the initial setup, the Pulse frame gets its own email address and can connect to your friends' photo feeds.

- For less sophisticated users (perhaps an elderly parent or grandparent), you can do the initial setup and, if there's an accessible wireless network, send new pics to the frame via email.

- Also accepts pictures via MemoryStick, SD card or USB key.

- Pictures can be saved to the 512MB internal memory.

- While initial setup requires jumping through a few hoops, the frame operates seamlessly once this is completed. To send new pics, either insert a memory card/stick or send an email to your unique email address @kodakpulse.com.
