With premium features like highway lane assistance and AAA TourBook integration, the Magellan RoadMate 3045 has a lot to offer at the sub-$200 price point. Little touches like the ability to set a QWERTY keyboard or an ABC keyboard and expandable storage via microSD card makes up for a sometimes frustrating menu system that cuts down on options for the sake of keeping things simple.

Show Notes

Magellan RoadMate 3045
$189.99

- Large 4.7-inch resistive touch screen.

- Free lifetime maps and traffic.

- 6 million points of interest.

- Gives ample warning of turns, scaled to speed and type of travel.

- Menu system is simple but offers no obvious way to return to the main menu screen when delving into options.

- Windshield mount doesn't offer the range of positioning options once mounted that a TomTom mount does. However, it's much more reliable and you're not likely to yank the GPS receiver off its mount when trying to adjust.

- Expandable memory for maps via MicroSD card (not included).

- Includes the requisite car charging cable and a USB cable for data syncing.

- Trying to visit the address printed onto the data cable package magellanGPS.com/contentmanager nets a 404.
