- E-Ink: originally developed by MIT. For more information about e-ink technology check out: http://www.e-ink.com/technology/howitworks.htm.

- EV-DO is the same technology you'll find inside cellular phones in the United States from CDMA providors such as Sprint and Verizon Wireless. Outside North America, Amazon will need to use GSM cellular data networks.
