- PVR: Personal Video Recorder.

- DVR: Digital Video Recorder.

- A single layer DVD holds 4.7 gigabytes. And dual-layer DVD's hold 8.5 gigabytes. The amount you can fit on a single DVD depends on the quality level you choose. For more information on optical media check out episode 15 of Lab Rats.
