Internet video

is awesome... and we're not being biased. You can find niche content that would have no chance on a mainstream TV network but that is feasible online thanks to the web economy. Roku brings Internet video to your TV and this model, the Roku HD-XR brings it to your HDTV. The only thing missing is a butterscotch.com channel to catch all your favorite shows. We're working on it!

- Allows you to get your favorite online shows streaming to your TV. Well, maybe not all your favorites; butterscotch.com is not yet available on Roku, but we're working on it.

- Only 802.11n wireless capable Roku box currently available (802.11b/g/n).

- The

Roku HD

foregoes the 802.11n and shaves $30 off the price. Still does 802.11b/g plus everything else the XR model does. At $100, it seems like the best if you don't have plans to upgrade to a N wireless network.

- Offers up to 720p resolution HD.

- Use in either anamorphic 16:9 (smaller video stretched to fill), native 16:9 or standard definition.

- Netflix and Amazon.com channels let you watch on-demand movies with subscription.

- Opens up some interesting content possibilities. Rather than static TV like we're used to today, you can customize how and when you watch.
