Samsung G2 external hard drive HX-MU0640DC
- Attractive design available in green, blue, grey and black.
- Rounded corners and no-slip feet on the bottom.
- Includes one USB to mini USB connector.
- Samsung bills the case thusly: "multi-faceted external case sparkles in the sun, much like sunlight filtering through the leaves of a baobab tree swaying in the wind." Perhaps a little overblown and overly poetic for an external storage solution, but it is good looking.
- Light and eco-friendly.
- USB On-board means lower power consumptions as compared with separate USB controller circuitry.
- Mac and Windows compatible.
- Included software is Windows only.
- Backup with scheduler to do regular backups, called AutoBackup.
- SecretZone allows you to password protect a portion of the drive to keep its contents from prying eyes.
- 12.73GB of about 4,200 mixed files transferred in 6m53s for a real world transfer speed of 31.56MB/s.
