We sometimes forget that not everyone is prepared to pay the price premium for the latest iDevice. Call it blinding by gadget lust. For people in the market for an inexpensive MP3 player that's expandable and doesn't necessarily feel like a budget player, SanDisk has updated its two year-old Fuze player with a larger screen, capacitive touch navigation and an improved roster of video and audio file formats it can play. It's a compelling offering, perhaps even for iDevotees.

- 2.4-inch QVGA (320x240) screen.
