Show Notes

Having your media at your fingertips anywhere you may be with a boardband internet connection.

- Sony Location Free TV:
- Hooked into your media center which allowed connection via the internet from anywhere in the world.
- Forced you to carry a specific device to view your media remotely on.

- SlingBox from SlingMedia:
- Streams your content from your home tv and anything connected to it, to any web browser in the world.
- Although electrons travel at the speed of light, network equipment and longer distances cause lag time.

- SlingLink PowerLine Ethernet Adapter from SlingMedia:

- Allows you to watch your TiVo in another room in your house.

- Andy's Future Book(s) Plug:
- Windows Vista Help Desk
- Where's My Jetpack?

- Most ISP's assume you're downloading more than you're uploading, so uploading speeds are a fraction of download speed.

- Orb:
- Software that you install on your computers.
- Allows you to pull any content [pictures, videos, music, etc] off your computer to any other device via your boardband internet connection.
- D-link DSM-320 Media Lounge.
- Prismiq MediaPlayer.

- Codec = COde / DECode:
- Translate multimedia file formats for playback / encoding.

-Shout at to Hak5, who on episode 9 showed the VLC player as the software in conjunction with the remote control, the Treo.
