Today on the Deck we meet up with A. Alfred Ayache, Web Application Architect and Webmaster of butterscotch.com. He shares a snapshot of his storied past from bras and panties to telcos to Tucows and butterscotch.com. A glutton for punishment, Alfred has been burning the midnight oil to get butterscotch ready for its beta launch. Said oil will continue to burn as we make some pretty radical improvements to the site going forward.

- Arktyp the designers of the aesthetic and overall look of butterscotch.com.

HTML: Hyper Text Markup Language. The main language of the web, HTML allows for the layout and styling of text on a page.

CSS: Cascading Style Sheets. A stylesheet language that allows for the styling of web pages.

CMS: Content Management System. A system for managing the content that is posted to a web page or site. Allows non-web developer types (like Web Editors) to post to a web site without having to know exactly what's going on.

Beta: A loose term in the web world used to express that a site is ready for mass consumption but that improvements are ongoing.
