With a rooted Android phone, you can install custom ROMs that in some cases, completely change the user interface. Some ROMs are available only for one brand of phone, and others have been done for multiple phones. You can use ROM Manager and it will show you only the ROMs designed for your phone. Installation is quick and easy.

- Download ROM Manager
- In ROM Manager, tap Download ROM.
- You can look through the ROMs available for your phone.
- Some ROMs are available for multiple devices and others are meant for specific devices.
- ROM Manager will only show you ROMs that will work with your phone.
- Many ROMs will indicate if they are "Stable" or if they are "Release Candidates".
- Tap the ROM you want and tap Download.
- When the ROM finishes downloading, you'll be prompted to Backup Existing ROM and to Wipe the Data and Cache.
- In most cases, you'll want to check both and then tap OK twice and your phone will reboot.
- When your phone reboots, it will have the CyanogenMod ROM installed.
- You'll can skip the tutorial, but you will have to setup your Google account.
- Now you can customize your phone.
- We recommend that you find out what ROMs are available for your device and then do a little research.
- In this way, you can flash the ROM that will enhance your experience the most.
