Turn your radio on

Monday December 1, 2008
Sean and Andy dig deep into the oft misunderstood world or radio frequency (RF) and radio waves. Radio waves are all around us and more and more technologies are vying for space in cluttered frequency bands. Your cordless phone, your Wi-Fi router and even your microwave might co-exist in the same band. Sometimes competing devices in the same band play nice. Sometimes not so much. The guys offer some practical tips to make sure your Internet connection doesn't go down every time you make a phone call, microwave a burrito or nuke a cold cup of coffee.

And if all this talk of RF has you a little freaked out, Cheryl Poirier, AKA Miss Download, has some tongue in cheek pointers for making your own tinfoil hat to avoid brain scans.
