In order to start using your iPad as your main machine, you're going to need to get some apps so that you can accomplish all the tasks you used to do on your old computer. Most of the time, you'll find that the apps you download to your iPad are fully functional and work much the same as their less portable counterparts.

Don't get us wrong, we love the Android platform. Yet, occasionally, it can fall a bit short compared to its long time nemesis - the iPhone. Thankfully, an open platform breeds many solutions. In fact, in some instances we not only found solutions, but also applications that just made the Android experience better than any other. Our list of apps to get the most out of your Android is as follows:

Every year, Google invites developers to attend Google I/O to learn where the big G sees things going. Android has never been better represented than it was this year. We take a look at some of the most interesting Android announcements coming out of Google I/O. We'll cover some some of these developments in-depth in coming episodes, most specifically, Ice Cream Sandwich, the tablet and smartphone Android OS, coming later this year.

Every second, 19 blog posts are created, 787 porn searches are enacted, 4.2 babies are born and four Android phones are activated. That's like one Android phone for every new baby, with an unfortunate two-tenths getting stuck with iOS... WE KID! (stats via So Many a Second).
Also, every second, an iOS developer is getting paid more than an Android developer. 11% more to be exact, making for a lot of no doubt miffed Android-only developers. It also likely makes multi-platform developers put more focus on their Apple apps.
Google's model for Android is very much ad-supported... which might explain why the method for opting-out of targeted ads (using your Device ID) is little publicized. We'll show you how in this episode.
