You've got your domain. You've got your host. You've also spent time creating your site. Now your site is online so you'll want to give it a final check to make sure everything looks good. Go through your site as a visitor and note anything that's out of place or just plain broken. Does the navigation work? Are your images slowing down page load? Got any typos? If not, you're online and all is right with the world (wide web)

File transfer protocol (FTP)

is the answer. Simply enter your login info and server address (provided by your host) and send all your files!

There are many excellent desktop

that we talked about in the last segment. At the same time there are online services that give you the tools you need to

create your Website online

. Many will host the site as well.

You can download software and create your Website right on your PC. When you're ready you can upload it to your host. Or, you can use a service that is online and gives you the tools to create your page right on the Web. We'll look at both methods in this part of our Web Site 101 video tutorial series.

Images can really add to the impact of your Website. You can include pictures of products, family, friends, gadgets or just about anything else you want. When using images on a Website, however, you want to follow certain guidelines so as not to get stuck with a
