What is the butterscotch Community Toolbar?

The butterscotch Community Toolbar adds a butterscotch and Tucows Downloads site-specific search bar, top ten downloads from Tucows Downloads and top ten videos from butterscotch.com as well as the option to install browser apps for things like YouTube, Facebook, games and many more to your Internet browser (Chrome, Firefox, or Internet Explorer).

How do I get the butterscotch Community Toolbar?

Install

There are a couple of way to get the toolbar, either by downloading a software title from Tucows Downloads or installing it manually as follows:

Internet Explorer users:

  1. Click the Download Toolbar button.
  2. If you already have a community toolbar, you may see a window where you can choose to add the butterscotch toolbar in a click to your list of toolbars; you don't need to download and install it unless you would like to have it in a separate row atop your browser.
  3. In the File Download window, you are given the option to Run or Save. We recommend that you click Run to automatically download and install. If you want to choose where the installation files will be placed, however, choose Save and then manually activate the installation.
  4. Clicking Run begins the installation process, which takes a few minutes, depending on your Internet speed. In the Community Toolbar Installation window, configure the additional settings and click Agree (to the License Agreement). The toolbar will then appear on the top of your browser.

  1. Click the Download Toolbar button.
  2. If you already have a community toolbar, you may see a window where you can choose to add the butterscotch toolbar in a click to your list of toolbars; you don't need to download and install it unless you would like to have it as a separate row in your browser.
