Show Notes

- The 11.6-inch MacBook Air is closer in size to a netbook but has a more powerful processor.

- The MacBook Air has a full-sized keyboard and trackpad that offers full support for gesturing.

- As a trade-off for its small size, the new MacBook Air doesn't have the room to support an optical drive.

- The MacBook Air has two USB ports and a DVI display port.

- The power cord for the MacBook Air connects to the power port through magnetism so that your MacBook won't be knocked down if someone trips over the cord.

- There is also a headphone jack next to your microphone and a webcam mounted above the screen in the middle.

- One downside to the MacBook Air is the lack of a removable battery.

- Thanks to the LED backlighting and the flash memory, power consumption is fairly minimal so a full charge should last five or more hours.
