The iPhone revolutionized applications for mobile phones. BlackBerry's answer to Apple's App Store is the BlackBerry App World application. Here, you'll find loads of applications to try out on your BlackBerry, both free and for a cost. It's literally never been easier to get an app onto your BlackBerry.

- The BlackBerry App World is pre-installed on newer phones. To install BlackBerry App World on your device, use the following instructions.

Check the App World system requirements to make sure your handset is supported.

On your BlackBerry, visit App World Downloader

Input the email address associated with your BlackBerry on the BlackBerry App World page to have a link sent directly to your device.

- Once installed, you'll find a BlackBerry App World application icon in your Downloads folder.

- The BlackBerry App World is broken down into Category, Popular, Search and My World which shows any applications you've downloaded.

- Clicking on an application in the BlackBerry App World brings up more details. You can see screenshots, a star rating as well as a download size along the top. You'll also be able to click the Download button to grab the app.

- On the details screen for apps that have a cost associated with them, the Download button becomes a Purchase button.

- You must have an active PayPal account in order purchase applications in the BlackBerry App World.
