- There are a number of

Android shortcuts

that you can find simply by tapping and holding on the bar located at the top of the home screen and dragging it down.

- Here, you will see shortcuts for toggling your wireless settings such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, as well as GPS.

- You can switch to silent mode or toggle auto rotation from here as well.

- At the bottom of this screen, you'll see a box that displays your notifications.

- Another time-saving technique is to assign contacts to speed dial. Get to speed dial by opening Contacts, hitting settings and then selecting More. Now tap Speed dial.

- Tap any of these buttons to assign a contact to it. Tap the settings button to delete contacts or even change your speed dial order.
