- By default, your Android phone can easily share pictures through Gmail.

- Just go into the Gallery app, tap a picture, then go into the menu and tap Share. Select Gmail and send the email to your chosen recipient.

- In order to send files other than pictures, however, you'll need a file explorer app. We recommend ASTRO File Manager.

- Once ASTRO is installed, open Gmail.

- Begin composing a new email as you normally would, then tap the menu key on your phone and choose Attach.

- The default selection is Gallery, but we're going to choose ASTRO.

- Now, scroll through the available files and folders to find the file you want to send.

- You can tap the send button to send your email now or save it as a draft if you want to wait until you have a Wi-Fi connection.
