automatically detect links

so that you can easily

add links to files

without having to input full URLs, saving you a number of steps and lots of time.

Show Notes

- Google Docs will automatically detect links that you type so there's no need to type out the whole URL.

- For example, rather than typing http://www.butterscotch.com just type butterscotch.com and the link will be made.

- You could also highlight text and click the blue link icon at the top to add a link.

- To change or remove a link, just click on it and you'll see the options appear below.

- The automatically detect links feature can be disabled by going to Tools then Preferences.
