- As you type a word in a text field, you'll see autocorrect suggestions above the keyboard in orange.
- If the word you're typing is not recognized, it will show up white. Tap the word in the autocorrect bar and then tap again to save the word to the dictionary.
- Now, when you type the word again, you'll see that it turns up in the autocorrect suggestions. Just tap to insert the word.
- Another option to add words to your autocorrect dictionary is to go back to a home screen, tap the Menu key, and choose Settings. Scroll down to Language & keyboard and tap to open the User dictionary.
- Here, tap the Menu key and choose Add. Enter the word you'd like to add and hit OK.
- In the user dictionary, you can see any words you've previously added. To correct an entry, tap and hold on the word. Choose Edit and when you're done, tap OK. You can also delete an entry by tapping and holding then choosing Delete.
